Documentation Manager – Compliance
About the role
As a Documentation Manager at Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health, you will collaborate with the Director and team to enhance Center documentation and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a working knowledge of applicable regulations and apply them to audits, summarizing findings and recommending improvements.
- Prioritize, schedule, and implement audits across the center, developing effective and accountable systems for quality documentation.
- Assist the Director in overseeing and supporting Program Specialists, ensuring accountability and timely report completion.
- Provide coaching and leadership to Program Specialists, helping them develop the necessary skills to facilitate a person-centered ISP process.
- Aid the Director in training and supporting all employees on the use of electronic health records and quality documentation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Human Services, or a related field.
- Two (2) years’ experience in the Human Services field, specifically with adults having intellectual/developmental disabilities, mental health diagnoses, and/or Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI).
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and ability to adhere to established regulations.
- Excellent customer service, written, and verbal communication skills, organizational skills, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to adapt to rapidly changing demands, customer needs, and organizational changes.
- Proficiency in Word Processing and Database management.
- Valid driver's license and at least 21 years of age.
