Document Controls Manager
About the role
WSP is seeking a Document Control Manager to join our Project Controls team in Boston, MA. Your Impact will involve influencing the narrative by understanding what needs to be done to support the project vision and initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Influence the narrative by understanding what needs to be done to support the project vision and initiatives
- Implement document management systems for large/mega programs in design/construction
- Set up document management systems and manage from inception, through duration to final completion and closeout of project
- Monitor and Manage the Electronic Document Management System(s)
- Develop and administer the project “Document Management Plan”
- Develop and administer Document Control Procedures and Training Guidelines
- Work with Project Information Management Systems Team for access, security and troubleshooting
- Perform reoccurring training on Document Management Requirements and EDMS use
- Implement efficient work-flow process, initiate and track document reviews
- Retrieve files, Upload / Download files from EDMS, Manage Document Naming, Convention, numbering, assigning, distribution
- Process Incoming/Outgoing Transmittals and documentation
- Initiate and track reviews through Bluebeam Sessions
- Ensure that electronic record files as required are maintained in good order to comply with QA and contractual requirements
- Optimize Document Control productivity, efficiency, and service quality across all departments
- Produce progress reports as required
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Minimum 7-10 years of Document Control experience working on design, construction or similar projects including start-up and closeout processes
- Experience in implementing document management systems and procedures for large and mega programs in construction
- Certified in e-Builder or InEight
- Advanced computer and word processing skills using MS Office applications including SharePoint
- Experience supervising and leading Document Control Team Members
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to coordinate several high-priority deadlines simultaneously
- Maintain confidentiality at all times
- Technical knowledge of industry documents, records and data management systems
- Demonstrate experience with typical Microsoft office applications, such as Word, Power Point, Excel and Visio

Pay
Expected Salary (all locations): $140,000-155,000/yr
