U.S. Citizenship is required for this position. This is a full-time, 1st shift role located at Newport News Shipbuilding. Relocation assistance is not available. This position is not eligible for telework and does not require travel. Final security clearance is required to start.
About the Role
Performs operational duties in support of regulatory and/or Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) compliance documentation; coordinating the verification, approval, and processing of document revisions; and tracking document activity to ensure timeliness and process efficiency.
Document Control Support responsibilities at Newport News Shipbuilding include the Correspondence Vault, Document Control Center, and the Technical and Specifications Libraries, located within two building locations. The selected candidate will have primary responsibility for the Correspondence Vault but will also be cross-trained in the responsibilities associated with the Technical Library, the Document Control Center, and the Specifications Library.
- Performs a variety of clerical duties in a library.
- Researches and circulates library books, documents, periodicals, and films.
- Searches for, recalls, and makes available library materials.
- Assists others to utilize library facilities; orders books, publications, and other library material as required.
- Controls periodical subscriptions and renewals; utilizes outside libraries and bookstores to obtain information and materials.
- Catalogs and classifies material received by the library as directed.
- Uses computers for tracking, searching, and retrieving information or abstracts.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED.
- 4 years of additional education and/or experience.

Pay
The anticipated salary range for this role is $49,000.00 to $62,000.00. Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors.
