Document Control (Bluebeam Specialist)

Michael Baker International’s Construction Services staff supports clients by acting as their trusted on-site agent through all phases of construction, from pre-design to close-out, by providing qualified construction managers, inspectors, constructability reviewers, schedulers, estimators and safety experts. As new technologies evolve throughout the construction industry, innovative ideas are required to maintain and deliver successful construction projects.

Michael Baker is actively seeking a Document Control (Bluebeam Specialist) to join the team in Baltimore!
What You’ll Do
- Maintain document control processes, procedures, and standards for all project documentation.
- Manage the receipt, distribution, tracking, and storage of construction documents including drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, addenda, ASIs, and close‑out materials.
- Lead, maintain, and optimize Bluebeam Revu document workflows including Studio Sessions, version comparison, markup standards, and collaborative review processes.
- Create and manage Bluebeam tool sets, profiles, and document templates for consistent team usage.
- Ensure document accuracy by performing quality checks for file naming, metadata completeness, version control, and revision history.
- Cooky navigation/legal/EEO/scam-warning boilerplate removed for brevity.
What You Need To Succeed
- A high school diploma or GED
- 3–7 years of experience in construction document control, project administration, or a related field
- Advanced proficiency in Bluebeam Revu (Studio Sessions, batch tools, markups, digital workflows); Bluebeam certification preferred
- Strong knowledge of construction documents, terminology, and project delivery methods
- Experience with document management systems and construction workflows (RFIs, submittals, drawing lifecycle)
- Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder coordination skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Experience supporting large-scale commercial, industrial, or infrastructure projects preferred
Compensation
The approximate compensation range for this position is $30/hr to $40/hr. This compensation range is a good-faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Actual compensation is dependent upon factors such as education, qualifications, experience, skillset, and physical work location.
