Document Clerk

About the role
This position manages and maintains the firm's physical and digital records, ensuring documents are accurately organized, filed, and retrieved in compliance with policies and confidentiality standards. The role supports administrative operations and protects critical information, contributing to the firm's overall efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Sort, organize, scan, and file documents
- Upload legal documents accurately to various storage systems
- Record information and ensure account statuses are correct
- Follow client document processing requirements using proprietary software
- Adhere to standard operating procedures
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements
- High accuracy in repetitive tasks
- Data entry or administrative experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Effective organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to communicate clearly with individuals or groups
- Competence in operating a computer, phone, or similar device
- Availability to complete a flexible 40-hour workweek
- Ability to read and understand position-related documents
- Private home workspace free from interruptions
- Stable internet connection with minimum 5 Mbps speed
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and data security
- Availability during business hours
- Compliance with remote work policies
- Physical ability to lift five pounds, sit for most of the workday, bend, and maintain concentration
Pay
Base hourly rate of $17.00 per hour.
