About the Role

San Diego State University’s School of Public Health is accepting applications for their part-time lecturer pool for the Doctorate of Public Health program. Temporary appointments may be full- or part-time and are often made just prior to the start of the academic term, requiring availability on short notice. Opportunities may include teaching during Fall, Spring, or Summer terms.

Initial appointments are typically one semester or one academic year, renewable contingent on satisfactory evaluations and availability of work. Applications remain active in the pool for the academic year in which they are submitted.

Pay

Initial rank and salary are based on professional experience and educational background. As of July 2024, the classification salary ranges are:

  • Lecturer A: $5,507 - $6,677
  • Lecturer B: $6,221 - $13,224
  • Lecturer C: $6,825 - $14,523
  • Lecturer D: $8,593 - $15,211

Schedule

  • Fall term: mid-August to late-December
  • Spring term: mid-January to mid-May
  • Summer sessions: opportunities may be available
