Dockman

About the role

Dockman responsible for daily order picking and preparing customer shipments in a warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand customer orders from daily pick tickets and shipping requirements.
• Gather and organize ordered items onto pallets as needed.
• Operate pallet jacks, electric hand-trucks, or forklifts to move product from the warehouse to the loading area.
• Assist the loading area in preparing and securing customer orders for shipping.
• Properly mark or label ordered items to prevent miss-shipments.
• Keep multiple customer orders separate.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support warehouse operations and business needs.

Requirements

• Ability to work in a cooler or deep freeze environment for extended periods.
• Physical capability to push, pull, lift, and rotate items; typical physical demand limit is 60–70 lbs, with occasional lifts up to 100–120 lbs requiring a two-person lift.
• Excellent attention to detail and common sense in daily activities.
• Ability to read and understand English to match products with customer orders.
• Basic math skills to ensure accurate counts of ordered products.
• Ability to work well in a team environment with a diverse group of people.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and adhere to company policies.

Qualifications

Preferred experience includes warehouse, stockroom, order picking, or operation of pallet jacks, electric hand-trucks, or forklifts.

Pay

$18 per hour.

Schedule

• Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• Saturday: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
