Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Directly supervises 10 - 30 employees within the Depot.
- Indirectly supervises 1-2 employees within the Depot’s office.
- Carrries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
- Interviews, hires, trains, and appraises employees.
- Plans, assigns, and directs work; ensures equipment is inspected, maintained, and cleaned.
- Oversees all inbound and outbound loads, performing final quality checks.
- Shifts employee tasks to handle workload spikes.
- Makes recommendations to the Manager regarding staffing, best practices, and continuous improvement.
- Participates in employee performance reviews.
- Ensures a clean, sanitary, and safe working environment.
- Maintains accurate inventory, production accuracy, and overall warehouse quality.
- Shares responsibility for building security and asset safeguarding.
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED, or one to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Two or more years of warehouse and logistics experience preferred.
- Previous supervisory or team lead experience highly preferred.
