Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Directly supervises 10 - 30 employees within the Depot.
- Indirectly supervises 1-2 employees within the Depot’s office.
- Carrries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
- Interviews, hires, and trains employees; plans, assigns, and directs work; appraises performance; ensures others are inspected/maintained/clean; rewards and disciplines employees; addresses complaints and resolves problems.
- Has direct oversight of all inbound and outbound loads.
- Key holder, responsible for opening or closing the facility.
- Ensures all receiving, inspection, DBR QC, priority load quality and put away processes are performed correctly and completed daily.
- Oversees all outbound loads, providing a final quality check, ensuring that shipments are made on schedule to meet the Customer’s needs.
- Shifts employee’s tasks as needed to handle spikes in the workload to remain current. Will perform some of the work as required from time to time.
- Ensures accurate Inbound Sort Worksheets and TDS Repair quantities when needed.
- Ensures Equipment and Machines are clean, inspected, safe, and operating correctly.
- Provides ongoing coaching and training to all workers to ensure processes are performed correctly and on time.
- Provides feedback to Manager as it relates to KPIs.
- Makes recommendations to Manager related to staffing, best practices, and continuous improvement.
- Participates in the employee’s annual performance reviews.
- Promotes a clean, sanitary and safe working environment at all times. Ensures safety measures are always adhered to.
- Ownership in maintaining an accurate inventory, production accuracy, and overall quality of warehouse.
- As part of the management team, shares responsibility for building security, and safeguarding of assets.
- Ensures safety measures are always adhered to.
- Performs other duties as assigned by management.
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software including Outlook, Excel and Word.
- 2 or more years of warehouse and logistics experience preferred.
- Previous supervisory or team lead experience highly preferred.
