Key Responsibilities
- Complete all required safety training in a timely manner, stay current on all required safety training, and practice safe work habits at all times.
- Obtain all required certification for operation of applicable equipment to perform work.
- Maintain company-supplied service van and uniforms in a clean and organized fashion as well as maintaining an accurate inventory of tools and parts.
- Diagnose faulty equipment and apply knowledge of functional operation of unit and systems to identify the extent and cause of malfunction.
- For installs, diagnose installation job sites and apply knowledge of functional operation of unit and systems to identify potential installation issues.
- Perform all service, installations, and scheduled maintenance efficiently and effectively, in line with company procedure.
- Maintain records of all service work and repairs performed in line with company procedure. Turn in paperwork in a timely fashion, ensuring honesty, accuracy and legibility.
- Work with service dispatcher and manager to maximize labor revenue and efficiency within the work schedule while accounting for 100% of work time.
- Be flexible with work schedule to take care of Raymond Storage Concepts, Inc. customer’s needs and also to be able to receive ongoing on-the-job training and coaching.
- Maintain a clean driving record. Drive safely and efficiently from point to point in service area.
- Communicate and work with the Parts and Sales departments to insure the customer’s needs are being met, and immediately report any potential customer issues that need to be addressed.
- Maintain a professional demeanor and appearance at all times. Communicate in a professional manner while showing respect to our customers and other company personnel.
- Demonstrate good judgment and personal attitude, which are essential to maintaining our company’s reputation for results orientated service, goodwill and professionalism.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- One to five years’ relevant experience and/or training preferred.
- Basic mechanical skills.
- Welding and cutting torch experience preferred.
- Lift truck and Scissor lift operation experience preferred.
- Basic knowledge of D.C. electricity and A.C. electricity, motor control and wiring preferred.
- Basic knowledge of hydraulic systems preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Must maintain a clean driving record.
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 75 pounds or more.
