Friendly Visiting

The Friendly Visiting Program matches homebound older adults aged 60 and above with volunteers in their community.

Aims to:

• Reduce isolation and loneliness
• Create meaningful relationships

Service Areas:

• Western Queens
• Central Queens
• Southwest Queens

Requirements:

• Bilingual in Spanish, Russian, Bengali, Mandarin, Cantonese, Italian, Hebrew, Romanian, Urdu, Punjabi and Yiddish
• Must be 18 years and over
• Provide 2 non-related references
• Commit to 6 months of volunteerism
• Consent to a background check
• Volunteers must be based in New York
