Division Order Technician

About the role

This position will provide administrative support to Division Orders and Owner Relations. The role requires a well-organized individual who can handle a wide range of support-related tasks in a fast-paced environment. This position will report to the Division Order Supervisor.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provides administrative support, file research and data input assistance for the Division Order team
  • Handle receipt of incoming mail and disbursing to appropriate groups within Land Administration
  • Performs routine owner account set ups and pay code changes within Quorum
  • Maintains accurate name and address data for lessors and partners
  • Performs detailed analysis of legal documents sent in by lessors/partners to determine if sufficient information has been provided for a transfer
  • Researches ownership through laws of descent and distribution/interest succession
  • Responds to inquiries from mineral owners, title attorneys, other third parties and internal staff regarding property interests

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Basic knowledge of the Division Order process
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proficient in computer applications, with a general understanding of company database computer systems (i.e., Excel, Word)
  • Able to set priorities and follow through with assigned tasks with moderate supervision
  • Ability to get along and cooperate with others
  • Ability to respond politely to the general public
  • Ability to continue to perform well under pressure and put in extra hours as needed
  • Thorough knowledge of business English, spelling, and math

Education & Work Experience Required

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Well organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Able to complete work accurately on a timely basis
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Prior experience in Division Orders or Owner Relations
