Division Order Analyst

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Under General Supervision, This Position Will Complete thorough review of drilling and division order title opinions, including but not limited to liens, wills, probates, assignments, taxes, mineral ownership, leases and curative documents.
Create and maintain divisions of interest.
Timely and accurate preparation and distribution of Division Orders.
Provide excellent owner relations service by addressing complex inquiries and resolving ownership issues with professionalism and integrity.
Concisely communicate with title attorneys, broker team, interest owners and others in various departments to resolve title opinion requirements and title disputes.
Review and analyze prior period adjustments and conduct research to resolve any revenue discrepancies.
Apply good analytical skills to interpret chain of title and calculations of royalties, overriding royalties and working interests.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: At least two (2) years of Division Order, Land Administration or related experience.
  • Competencies: Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and basic knowledge of Adobe products, basic use/operation of standard office equipment, working knowledge of land or revenue software, preferably Enertia, general knowledge of division order and land principles, strong analytical skills to interpret information and data and perform complex calculations, demonstrate sound judgment and perform duties in a professional manner, strong written and verbal communication skills, good attention to detail and emphasis on accuracy with data entry, good organizational, time management and problem-solving skills, able to understand and follow instruction, procedures, policies and maintain confidentiality, capacity to multitask and prioritize tasks accordingly, able to follow up and meet established deadlines, prepared to help, support and work effectively within a team, able to work independently with some supervision.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Excludes occasional visitation to the field – reference Travel section. Office Related Job is primarily performed in an office setting with exposure to computer screens and requires regular use of a computer, keyboard, mouse, and multi-line telephone system.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms.
  • Minimally lift, push, carry and/or move up to 25 pounds.

TRAVEL

Approximate amount of time: Minimal (under 25%); Regularly (25% - 75%); Frequent (more than 75%). Minimal travel may be required to other locations.
