About the role

The Division of Endocrinology and Metabolism in the Department of Medicine at the University of California at San Francisco is seeking to recruit up to two full-time faculty members at the Assistant HS Clinical Professor level. Candidates should hold the M.D. degree and must be a board-certified endocrinologist with an established expertise in the management of pituitary diseases.

Responsibilities

  • Triage of referrals
  • Communication and co-management of patients with referring providers for patients living across the Northern California Region
  • Performing detailed and expert diagnostic workups
  • Managing the care of complex pituitary patients both before and following potential surgery
  • Heavily involved in teaching and disseminating knowledge in the area of neuroendocrinology, with a particular emphasis on education for endocrinology fellows and both neurosurgery and internal medicine residents

Requirements

Candidates should hold the M.D. degree and must be a board-certified endocrinologist with an established expertise in the management of pituitary diseases.

Qualifications

Candidates should have a strong background in endocrinology and a proven track record in managing pituitary diseases. They should also have experience in teaching and disseminating knowledge in the field of neuroendocrinology.

Skills

Strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and the ability to manage complex cases are essential. Proficiency in teaching and research is preferred.

This position includes membership in the health sciences compensation plan which provides for eligibility for additional compensation.

Pay

The minimum base salary range for this position is $127,000-$164,700. The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment.

The schedule for this position is full-time.
