About the role
The Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes, Metabolism, and Nutrition at Mayo Clinic in Arizona seeks an exceptional leader to serve as Chair. This position will play a critical role in shaping the future of endocrinology within one of the world's premier academic medical centers.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership across Mayo Clinic’s three shields—clinical practice, research, and education—while advancing the Division’s national reputation for excellence in endocrinology, diabetes, metabolism, and nutrition.
- Advocate for and implement innovative approaches to improve patient outcomes.
- Collaborate with Mayo Clinic Arizona executive leadership, administrative leaders, and fellow division chairs to advance Mayo Clinic’s mission, vision, and strategic priorities.
- Support continued growth across the Mayo Clinic enterprise by fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.
Requirements
- MD, DO, or MD/PhD with board certification in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism.
- Eligible for unrestricted medical licensure in Arizona.
- Previous leadership experience in an academic setting.
- Scholarly accomplishments appropriate for appointment at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor, with a minimum of 10+ years of experience post-fellowship.
- Demonstrated commitment to pursuing high-impact, transformative innovation.
- Evidence of effective mentorship and development of junior faculty.
- Outstanding clinician with a successful track record of high-quality clinical outcomes.
Qualifications
