About the role

Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, seeks an accomplished and visionary leader to serve as chair of the Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes, Metabolism and Nutrition. The chair will set the division’s strategic direction and oversee its performance across clinical care, research and education.

Requirements

  • Holds the academic rank of associate professor or higher
  • Proven track record of leadership experience, academic accomplishments, and the ability to collaborate effectively with a broad spectrum of expert clinicians and scientists
  • Expertise in diabetes — particularly in the rapidly evolving areas of islet cell biology, immune protection and evasion, stem cell–derived islet therapeutics, and translational approaches aimed at durable disease modification and cure — is highly desirable

Qualifications

  • Doctorate in relevant field
  • Experience in endocrinology, diabetes, metabolism, bone and mineral, pituitary, adrenal, thyroid, reproductive endocrinology, and nutrition sciences

Skills

  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team

Pay

The minimum starting salary for Medical specialties may range from $208,000 to $708,168. This range reflects full-time total base compensation prior to consideration of additional experience or duties. Pay for the selected candidate will vary based on specialty, experience, FTE, internal equity, or external market data.
