Major Responsibilities
- Maintains and operates simulation and education-based technologies to minimize downtime.
- Affixes to equipment failures and resolves them promptly.
- Collaborates in the creation of curriculum and educational materials for various levels and types of training related to simulation.
- Communicates with equipment manufacturers to address issues and update hardware and software.
- Fosters a culture of excellence in service.
- Evaluates simulation and education-based technology to identify areas for improvement and communicates these to supervisors.
- Operates or assists with the operation of simulators and task trainers during training sessions.
- Maintains the Simulation Lab and equipment; provides guidance and orientation to instructors.
- Assists with scheduling and coordinating the medical simulators.
- Maintains department performance within the annual budget, including staffing, supplies, and equipment.
- Identifies cost reduction opportunities and implements actions to achieve savings.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare or healthcare technology (preferred).
- EMT Certification (preferred).
- Familiarity with operation of personal computers (preferred).
- Familiarity with medical terminology and audio-visual equipment (preferred).
- Certification in Healthcare Operations Simulation (preferred).
