Major Responsibilities
- Maintains and operates simulation and education-based technologies to minimize downtime.
- Affixes to equipment failures and resolves them promptly.
- Participates in curriculum and educational material development for various levels and types of training.
- Communicates with equipment manufacturers about troubleshooting issues and updating hardware and software.
- Fosters a culture of excellence in service.
- Evaluates simulation and education-based technology for potential improvements and communicates these to supervisors.
- Operates or assists with the operation of simulators and task trainers during training sessions.
- Manages the Simulation Lab and equipment; provides guidance to instructors on lab procedures, materials, and equipment operation.
- Works under pressure and meets deadlines reliably.
- Assists with scheduling and coordinating the medical simulators.
- Maintains equipment and orders supplies as needed.
- Identifies and addresses performance opportunities and training needs, offering coaching and development.
- Supports clinical educators with simulation training technology and configurations.
- Contributes to strategic planning and business development within the area of responsibility.
- Develops and conducts tours and simulation sessions for internal and external groups.
- Manages department performance within the annual budget, including staffing, supplies, and equipment.
- Identifies cost reduction opportunities and implements actions to achieve savings.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare or healthcare technology preferred.
- Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Certification preferred.
- Familiarity with operation of personal computers.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and audio-visual equipment.
- Certification in Healthcare Operations Simulation preferred.

About the Role
Frequent travel is required between Riverdale HCA Healthcare Center for Clinical Advancement (HHCCA) and our Draper HHCCA. Out of state travel may also be required when necessary. This position requires a flexible schedule with work hours starting as early as 7:00 AM and ending as late as 5:30 PM, depending on the day.

The pay for this position is competitive and commensurate with experience.
