This integrated leadership role provides academic, clinicalandadministrative oversight for dermatology services across the health system and supportsMaineHealth’stripartite mission of clinical excellence, educationandresearch.
Division Chief Responsibilities
- Collaboration with Graduate Medical Education and Undergraduate Medical Education leadership and Department Chairs to support all aspects of dermatology education for medical students,residentsandfellows
- Oversight of dermatology teaching activities, including clinical teaching, didactic curricula, simulation-based education,electivesandmedical grand rounds
- Participation in initiatives to supportan optimalclinical learning environment, aligned with ACGME standards
- Promotion of faculty engagement inMaineHealth’sclinical, educationalandresearch missions, including recruitment, development,mentorshipandacademic advancement
- Collaboration withMaineHealthresearch leadership to support and mentor clinical, translationalandhealth-services research relevant to dermatology
Qualifications
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school
- Fellowship trainedin Dermatology
- Board Certifiedin Dermatology
- Demonstrated prior leadership experience (division, section, program or medical directorship)
- Excellent communication,collaborationandorganizational leadership skills
