About the role
The Division CFO will oversee the financial operations of the division, ensuring the achievement of budgets and metrics through a culture of accountability. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills to drive financial performance and support the division's growth objectives. Position serves both internal co-workers and external customers, clients, patients, contractors, and vendors. Access to and/or works with sensitive and/or confidential information. Exhibit a comprehensive understanding of healthcare regulatory and compliance (e.g., HIPAA).
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic financial leadership and direction to the division, ensuring alignment with overall corporate goals.
- Provide oversight and leadership on financial controls, month-end financial close, and budget preparation process.
- Prepare, deliver high detail reports to division and company leaders with ability to provide financial recommendations and explanations.
- Drive strategic operational and financial operations initiatives for the Division.
- Provide financial analysis to President of Medical Group Services, other medical group services operational leaders, Acute Division CEO/CFO and Facility Leadership, in support of operational considerations.
- Oversee the preparation and presentation of financial reports, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Identify and manage financial risks, implementing strategies to mitigate potential impacts.
- Create an environment of accountability in achieving budgeted metrics and/or targets.
- Assume a lead role in analyzing and exploring means of reducing operating costs and increasing revenues based on knowledge of market trends, financial reports, and operating procedures.
Requirements
- Minimum of 15 years of progressive financial leadership experience in healthcare required.
- Proven track record of managing budgets and achieving financial metrics.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lead and develop a high-performing team.
- High level experience with financial software and systems.
- Additional Requirements: MBA and/or CPA preferred.
