About the role

The Department of Cardiovascular Medicine at Mayo Clinic in Arizona is seeking a Board-Certified Heart Failure and Heart Transplant Cardiologist to serve as Chair of the Division of Advanced Heart failure and Heart Transplant. This role provides oversight of all clinical, strategic, quality, and growth initiatives related to heart transplantation and advanced cardiac replacement therapies. The role includes direct patient care, program leadership, team development, and enterprise collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Provide oversight of all clinical, strategic, quality, and growth initiatives related to heart transplantation and advanced cardiac replacement therapies.
  • Direct patient care, program leadership, team development, and enterprise collaboration.
  • Engage actively in teaching medical students, residents, and cardiology and cardiology subspecialty fellows.
  • Participate in scholarly and research activities, which are well-supported through the Department's extensive academic infrastructure.

Qualifications

  • Candidates must hold or be eligible for an Arizona medical license.
  • Candidates must have at least 5 years of progressive post-fellowship experience in heart transplantation and advanced heart failure, including involvement in programmatic leadership, quality, or growth initiatives.
