About the Role

As a Dive Technician at Consor, you will prepare for and work on dive teams for structural assessment contracts locally, regionally, and around the US. You will maintain and prepare equipment, including dive gear, boats, and vehicles, and serve as a bridge inspector, diver tender, and note taker. You will gain in-water experience from day one and receive training in topside inspection of bridges and other structures to protect the traveling public.

Responsibilities

  • Perform inspections and help develop reports in accordance with National Bridge Inspection Standards to determine maintenance or repair needs.
  • Conduct emergency inspections of bridges damaged by collision, floods, or other events as required.
  • Maintain and prepare equipment for field inspections, including dive equipment, vehicles, and boats.
  • Maintain bridge records and files.

Requirements

  • ADCI Commercial Diving certification is required.
  • Experience or proficiency in equipment maintenance (training may be provided if aptitude is demonstrated).
  • Proficient technical writing skills.
  • Must be physically able to perform bridge inspections in the field.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
