District Wide Substitute General Cafeteria Workers

About the role

The Mission of Plymouth Public Schools is to challenge, inspire, and prepare all students for success in an ever-changing and complex world. The Plymouth Public School District is seeking a District‑Wide General Cafeteria Substitute Worker, reporting to the Lead Cook at the needed school per the Director’s request. Beginning Date: To Be Determined. Closing Date: Until Filled.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing daily lunches.
• Learn the various food stations and methods of display.
• Help maintain clean kitchen.
• Notify the Lead Cook of any equipment in need of maintenance or repairs.
• Develop a knowledge of State regulations.
• Learn the Point‑of‑Sale (POS) system, as necessary.

Requirements

• High School diploma and one year of previous related experience in school food service preferred.
• Serve Safe certification with appropriate experience and training (preferred).
• Familiarity with various point of sale systems (preferred).
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, staff and co‑workers.
• Ability to speak clearly and concisely both in oral and written communication.
• Ability to perform duties with awareness of all District requirements and Board of Education policies.

Pay

$16.81 per hour.
