District-Wide General Cafeteria Worker

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing daily lunches.
• Learn the various food stations and methods of display.
• Help maintain clean kitchen.
• Notify the Lead Cook of any equipment in need of maintenance or repairs.
• Develop a knowledge of State regulations.
• Learn the Point-of-Sale (POS) system, as necessary.
• Other duties not described here may be assigned as needed.
• Regular and consistent attendance is considered an essential function of this position.

Requirements

• High School diploma and one year of previous related experience in school food service preferred.
• Serve Safe certification with appropriate experience and training (preferred).
• Familiarity with various point of sale systems (preferred).
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, staff and co-workers.
• Ability to speak clearly and concisely both in oral and written communication.
• Ability to perform duties with awareness of all District requirements and Board of Education policies.

Schedule

Reports to the Lead Cook at the assigned school per the Director's request. Position begins as soon as possible, Monday through Friday, 4.75 hours per day (23.75 hours per week). Open until filled.

Pay

$16.81 per hour.
