Major Responsibilities
- Prepares food which may involve basic cooking, serving food to students, cleaning kitchen equipment and putting away stock / deliveries.
- Follows all sanitation and health codes governing food preparation and personal appearance.
- Works with hot ovens, sharp tools, slippery floors, and some heavy lifting.
- General knowledge of food and nutrition preferred.
- Other duties as may be assigned.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Previous food service or catering experience a plus.
- Ability to operate and care for institutional/industrial equipment.
- Ability to drive and deliver food.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Must be detail oriented and keep accurate records as directed.
- Possess good judgment.
- Requires working independently and as a team.
Physical Requirements
- Moves and lifts equipment weighting up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to drive EdAdvance vehicle.
- Moves throughout the school kitchen to prepare food and perform other duties.
- Must be able to push and pull carts.
