Cafeteria Worker at Region 12 School District

Major Responsibilities

• Prepares food which may involve basic cooking, serving food to students, cleaning kitchen equipment and putting away stock / deliveries.
• Follows all sanitation and health codes governing food preparation and personal appearance.
• Works with hot ovens, sharp tools, slippery floors, and some heavy lifting.
• General knowledge of food and nutrition preferred.
• Other duties as may be assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Previous food service or catering experience a plus.
• Ability to operate and care for institutional/industrial equipment.
• Ability to drive and deliver food.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Must be detail oriented and keep accurate records as directed.
• Possess good judgment.
• Requires working independently and as a team.

Physical Requirements

• Moves and lifts equipment weighting up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to drive EdAdvance vehicle.
• Moves throughout the school kitchen to prepare food and perform other duties.
• Must be able to push and pull carts.
