About the role

The District Supervisor at United Dairy Farmers is responsible for overseeing, leading, and managing up to 9 stores within a district. The primary responsibility involves ensuring the delivery of an exceptional guest experience across each store by following the five phases of The Hi Five Guest Experience, maintaining high standards of store cleanliness, and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of all stores.

Responsibilities

  • Directing Store Management Teams: Monitor daily activities, coach The Hi Five Guest Experience, train associates, make recommendations for promotions, demotions, suspensions, or separations.
  • Overall Guest Services: Analyze guest experience and Quality Assurance scores to identify areas of improvement and respond quickly.
  • Stocking Merchandise: Ensure shelves, displays, milk boxes, and freezers are filled and faced, and dip cabinets are presentable.
  • DipSide Guest Services: Ensure hand-dipped ice cream operations are prepared according to company standards.
  • Leadership & People Development: Oversee and participate in the recruitment, interviewing, and selection of store associates; ensure efficient use of labor hours; provide timely, candid, and constructive performance feedback; develop associates to their fullest potential; and grow associate engagement through regular surveys.
  • Store Operations: Ensure adequate stocking of merchandise, record sales transactions accurately, participate in audits, and manage security measures.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare, analyze, and transmit district results; ensure compliance with company policies and procedures; and monitor competitor activities.

Requirements

  • Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED equivalent; five or more years of experience managing managers and/or direct reports; previous experience in a QSR or C-store environment preferred; previous multi-unit retail store management experience preferred.
  • Competencies & Capabilities: Belief in people development; accountability for actions and results; excellent verbal and written communication skills; fundamental understanding of key financial and retail performance metrics; extensive familiarity with food service programs; ability to prioritize and manage time; computer/technical proficiency in MS Office/PC; prior experience with convenience/QSR-based POS systems and loyalty platforms preferred.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to speak, hear, and understand English; ability to see well enough to operate store equipment; ability to understand operating instructions for store equipment; ability to prepare DipSide items; ability to handle various items and make change; ability to tolerate cold temperatures; ability to lift and place packages.
