Licking County Soil & Water Conservation District is seeking a full-time Stormwater Technician to join our high-energy, high-activity team. The successful candidate will provide technical assistance and education for the urbanized areas of Licking County, focusing on the County Stormwater Program and local communities' MS4 (Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System) requirements under the Ohio EPA NPDES (National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System) Program.
Responsibilities
- Minimum Control Measure (MCM) 3: Illicit Discharge Detection and Elimination – Inspect and evaluate stormwater systems, including outfall inspections and mapping.
- MCM 4: Construction Site Runoff Control – Conduct inspections in compliance with Licking County Sediment, Erosion and Stormwater Regulations, EPA Construction General Permit, and approved Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (BMPs).
- MCM 5: Post-Construction Stormwater Management – Perform annual inspections based on Operation and Maintenance plans on file.
- MCM 6: Pollution Prevention and Good Housekeeping – Assist with pollution prevention training and facility inspections.
- Earn and maintain a minimum of Qualified Stormwater Inspector certification and Certified Qualified Preparer of Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans.
- Provide technical assistance to landowners and residents via calls.
- Assist in conducting tours, field days, and educational presentations for elected officials, contractors, and the general public at workshops.

Pay
Full-time, hourly position; pay commensurate with experience.
