District Safety Officer 2026-2027 Part Time
About the role
Reports directly to the Director of Safety and Security. Ensures that an environment exists in our schools that is both safe and conducive to learning and teaching.
Responsibilities
- Provide for the safety and security of students, personnel and property.
- Work closely with students and school administrators to support a safe environment.
- Establish good working relationships with Building Administrator, co-workers, custodian and faculty.
- Be familiar with the facilities in order to execute assigned duties in a professional and timely manner.
- Participate in arrival and dismissal process of students; may be required to assist with school functions.
- Continue to upgrade professional skills by attending workshops, seminars, staff meetings, etc. as scheduled by the Director of Safety and Security.
- Submit a Field Report to Director of Safety and Security and Building Administrator when warranted.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School diploma required.
- Experience in security industry preferred.
- Ability and personality to work with students, colleagues, teachers, and other staff.
- Successful completion of a background check by Human Resources.
