About the role
The Minnesota State Patrol, its employees, and the general public rely on this position to provide report processing, receptionist services, secretarial and general clerical assistance.
Responsibilities
- Data entry sufficient to receive and review source documents, compare documents to database information, and edit documents
- Communications sufficient to present clear and concise explanations of governing rules and regulations in a manner that is understandable
- Knowledge of standard computer software programs for word processing, spreadsheets, and databases sufficient to create, modify, and protect files
- Typing/keyboarding, using Microsoft Word or equivalent software, sufficient to produce documents such as emails and other correspondence in an efficient and timely manner
- Customer service to respectfully engage with clients, coworkers and customers, when handling difficult or complex problems and resolving escalated complaints or disputes
Requirements
- Knowledge of communications sufficient to present clear and concise explanations of governing rules and regulations in a manner that is understandable
- Experience with SWIFT (Statewide Integrated Financial Tool System), Employee Self-Service, CAD, data privacy rules, policies and procedures
- Database management with strong organizational and time management skills
- Experience using a multi-line telephone system
- Experience providing administrative support in Law Enforcement
- Ability to work cooperatively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and underserved communities
Qualifications
- Minimum qualifications: Skill in data entry sufficient to receive and review source documents, compare documents to database information, and edit documents
- Preferred qualifications: Experience with SWIFT (Statewide Integrated Financial Tool System), Employee Self-Service, CAD, data privacy rules, policies and procedures

$21.12 - $28.01 / hourly; $44,098 - $58,484 / annually

Day Shift / 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
