District Literacy Coordinator (new)

About the role

The successful candidate will serve as a literacy specialist and instructional coach in K-12 schools within the Las Cruces Public Schools district.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional development and instructional coaching to teachers in literacy practices.
• Assist in developing and implementing literacy programs aligned with district goals.
• Evaluate and provide feedback on student performance in literacy areas.
• Collaborate with other educators to improve literacy outcomes across the district.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in education from a regionally accredited college or university (master's degree with a focus on literacy preferred).
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in K-12 education.
• Valid New Mexico Level II or Level III Teaching License.
• Reading Endorsement and/or administrative license preferred.
• Completion of LETRS and/or AIM Pathways training.
• Experience teaching students in grades K-12.
• Experience providing instructional coaching in grades K-12.
• Experience as a school administrator or district administrator.
