About the role
The successful candidate will serve as a literacy specialist and instructional coach in K-12 schools within the Las Cruces Public Schools district.
Responsibilities
- Provide professional development and instructional coaching to teachers in literacy practices.
- Assist in developing and implementing literacy programs aligned with district goals.
- Evaluate and provide feedback on student performance in literacy areas.
- Collaborate with other educators to improve literacy outcomes across the district.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in education from a regionally accredited college or university (master's degree with a focus on literacy preferred).
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in K-12 education.
- Valid New Mexico Level II or Level III Teaching License.
- Reading Endorsement and/or administrative license preferred.
- Completion of LETRS and/or AIM Pathways training.
- Experience teaching students in grades K-12.
- Experience providing instructional coaching in grades K-12.
- Experience as a school administrator or district administrator.
