About the role

The California College Guidance Initiative (CCGI) is seeking a District Data Support Analyst to support Local Education Agencies (LEAs) in implementing transcript-informed functionality on CaliforniaColleges.edu. This role oversees the receipt, processing, troubleshooting, and data validity reviews of district transcript files.

Responsibilities

  • Regularly process and review logs for transcript files in AWS and CaliforniaColleges.edu environments.
  • Develop documentation considering technical and end-user needs for creating transcript files and conveying data validity concerns.
  • Ensure progress on cases in accordance with case management specifications.
  • Support ongoing quality assurance testing on transcript files for existing and onboarding districts.
  • Perform research and design test case scenarios to identify system bugs.
  • Investigate and resolve transcript file issues, both structural and data validity.
  • Develop and maintain documentation supporting the processing of transcript files.
  • Communicate and/or virtually meet with Data Leads in CCGI partner LEAs to resolve data file-related items.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a Business, Math, Information Technology related major or equivalent professional experience.
  • At least two years of cumulative professional experience.
  • At least three years experience with K-12 or higher education transcript data sets.
  • Familiarity with CALPADS data sets is a plus.
  • Minimum of 2+ years’ experience working with and analyzing complex data files and file formats.
  • High level of comfort working with large data sets using text editors and SQL or similar language to query Transcript files.
  • Familiarity with one or more K-12 student information systems (SIS), such as PowerSchool, Aeries, Infinite Campus, Synergy, etc., is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop technical documentation.

What You’ll Need

Pay

Budgeted Annual Salary Pay Range: $75,000.00 - $80,000.00
