About the role
The Consumer Banker position at The First Financial Bank involves working with existing and prospective clients to deepen client relationships. Key responsibilities include opening accounts, performing account maintenance, supporting client engagement through active calling and follow-up, and providing digital assistance.
Responsibilities
- Perform necessary functions to open and maintain accounts.
- Run a Teller drawer as needed by management.
- Support client engagement through active calling, client conversations, and follow-up.
- Maintain all operational and risk management standards.
- Partner with appropriate internal constituencies to bring appropriate level of expertise to the client.
- Ensure client follow-up calls are conducted in the proper time frame.
- Model the way for peers and coworkers aligned with First Financial's Mission and Values.
- Adhere to all compliance and regulatory procedures.
- Execute against retail strategies and objectives to attract, retain, and grow core client relationships.
- Participate and lead in the First Financial Bank Experience by being active in site center huddles and meetings.
- Consistently meet or exceed sales, service, and referral goals as set by management.
- Provide digital assistance and service for clients establishing or needing support in utilizing the bank's online offerings.
- Stay informed and up-to-date on all bank products, processes, and procedures, especially those that are most complex.
Requirements
- 3-4 years client service experience in a retail environment.
- 3-4 years sales and service experience with previous success in achieving sales and service goals in retail environment.
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Possession of a strong level of bank product knowledge and solid sales skills.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- May obtain notary authorization.
Skills
- Strong client service and sales skills.
- Effective communication and relationship-building abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Knowledge of bank products and processes.

Pay
Pay range: $18.00- $20.19/hour.
Schedule
Daily travel shall not exceed 60 miles per day. Travel between banking centers as well as mileage reimbursement above current commute will qualify for business-related reimbursement.
