District Consumer Banker I

About the role

Join our team as a Consumer Banker and work with existing FFB clients while prospecting for new ones to deepen relationships. You’ll book business directly and refer clients to internal partners such as Mortgage, Wealth, Small Business Banker Commercial, and Treasury Management.

Responsibilities

• Perform functions necessary to open accounts and perform maintenance.
• Run a Teller drawer as required by management.
• Engage clients through active calling, conversations, and follow-up.
• Align daily activities with The First Financial Bank Experience (FFB Experience), including:
  • Partner with internal teams to bring expertise to clients for service or solutions.
  • Ensure timely client follow-up calls.
  • Maintain operational and risk management standards.
• Assist clients with transactions in-branch, drive-thru, by phone, and email.
• Model First Financial’s Mission and Values for peers and coworkers.
• Adhere to all compliance and regulatory procedures.
• Act as a trusted advisor using the First Client Conversation Model to build deep relationships.
• Participate in site center huddles and meetings to support sales and service activities.
• Meet or exceed sales, service, and referral goals through collaboration with the team and lines of business.
• Provide digital assistance for clients using the bank’s online offerings.
• Stay informed on all bank products, processes, and procedures, especially complex ones.
• Travel up to 60 miles per day between banking centers (mileage reimbursement provided for business-related travel beyond current commute).

Requirements

• 2-3 years of client service experience in a retail environment.
• 2-3 years of sales and service experience with a track record of achieving goals.
• High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience in sales preferred.
• Strong sales skills.

Skills

• Ability to serve a wide variety of client needs according to bank policies.
• Independent decision-making within defined guidelines.

Physical Requirements

• Occasionally lifts and carries up to 20 lbs.
• Frequently lifts and carries up to 10 lbs.
• Frequently sits, stands, walks, and drives.
• Travel between banking centers required.

Pay

$18.00 - $20.19/hour.
