About the role

We are building our talent pipeline in Oncology/Hematology Sales and are looking for smart, professional, and passionate individuals who want to make a difference in the lives of patients. As part of our Hematology Sales team, you will join a growing and dynamic sales organization with a strong heritage at the forefront of bringing new and innovative cancer therapies—such as immunotherapies in multiple tumor types—to the market. Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of highly motivated sales professionals by creating and articulating a vision for the district aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Analyze performance data, market trends, and market access dynamics to build strategic business plans addressing challenges and capitalizing on opportunities.
  • Demonstrate a clear and thorough understanding of BMS Hematology products, the Hematology marketplace, relevant competitive products, and the disease area. Leverage this knowledge to coach the team on exemplary selling skills and product/disease state expertise.
  • Facilitate the growth and development of team members based on their needs, motivation, and business requirements, fostering an environment of continuous learning.
  • Effectively lead a team through change while maintaining focus on current and future business needs.
  • Comply with all laws, regulations, and policies governing BMS conduct.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with a minimum of 5 years of pharmaceutical industry experience or related industry experience.
  • Prior experience as a District Business Manager in Pharmaceutical Sales or equivalent leadership experience managing high-performing teams is required.
  • Hematology experience is strongly preferred, including an understanding of Hematology reimbursement, access, and distribution environments.
  • Proven track record of inspiring and leading teams to meet or exceed expectations and goals.
  • Demonstrated success in selecting, developing, and retaining talented individuals.
  • Experience using analytical skills, selling skills, and strong business acumen, with a working knowledge of the market access environment.
  • Must meet "Qualified Driver" requirements, including:
    • At least 21 years of age.
    • A driver’s license in good standing issued by your state of residence.
    • A driving risk level deemed acceptable by the Company.

Pay

Starting compensation range for this full-time role: $180,120–$218,257 per year. Additional incentive cash and stock opportunities may be available based on eligibility. The starting pay rate accounts for required skills, job location, work schedule, job-related knowledge, and experience. Final compensation will be determined based on demonstrated experience.

Eligibility Disclosure: The summer hours program is for U.S. office-based employees due to the nature of their work. Field sales, manufacturing operations, and some capability center roles may have limited or no eligibility. Remote-by-design or lab-based roles may qualify depending on job responsibilities. Employees covered under collective bargaining agreements should consult their agreement for eligibility details.

This role follows Bristol Myers Squibb’s occupancy structure, which determines where work is conducted based on job responsibilities:

  • Field-based roles: The ability to physically travel to visit customers, patients, or business partners and attend meetings on behalf of BMS is an essential job function.
