Distributor Manager – SC and KY

Main Responsibilities

The Distributor Manager will own responsibility of their markets to maximize profitability through advanced pricing & programming skills; A & P investments & budget management; and long-term strategic development. The role oversees all activities through the distributor. The Distributor Manager will routinely analyse and report sales performance as well as evaluate competitive activity in the market. They will be responsible for conducting business reviews and identify momentum to build and/or close gaps in their assigned market.

About the role

We are looking for a sales professional based in Charleston, SC to support the Commercial Director in managing all channels in South Carolina and Kentucky. Qualifications

• A strong understanding of the alcohol beverage and spirits industry, with a minimum of 5-7 years’ experience; working on the supplier side will be highly valued.
• A proven track record of developing working relationships and a strong business acumen; along with a demonstrated history of developing and mentoring talent within a team is necessary for this role.
• Strong finance and budgeting background
• Excellent verbal, written, and listening communication skills
• Advanced influencing skills and distributor management capabilities
• Effective problem-solving skills and good analysis skills
• Ability to manage difficult, complex markets and achieve business objectives
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills including proficiency with formulas and data analysis is required
• Excessive travel might be necessary, occasionally requiring air travel
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Bachelor’s Degree is strongly preferred
