About the role
You will be assigned to one department but can cross-train in several areas, including Shipping, Order Picking, Direct to Consumer, Putaway, Inventory, Receiving, and Inbound. We hire both Non-Equipment and Equipment Operators (stand-up forklift, order picker, reach truck, dock truck, walkie rider) based on experience and interest.
Responsibilities
- Process merchandise according to Camping World policies and procedures to ensure efficient and accurate distribution.
- Receive incoming merchandise, sort or count inventory, process orders, pick merchandise, package, and ship merchandise.
- Verify required inbound/outbound documents/labels to ensure accurate merchandise counts and damage-free product.
- Use RF scanners, computers, and handheld printers.
- Operate material handling equipment safely up to a height of 30 feet.
- Communicate system and merchandise issues to the Leadership Team.
- Report issues with equipment, product, or structure immediately.
- Complete all assigned duties, including general warehouse tasks as business needs require.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED equivalent.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to perform basic tasks such as reading, counting, and basic math calculations.
- Minimum of one year of experience in Warehousing, Receiving, or Material Management preferred.
- Team player with a cooperative mindset.
- Punctual and ready to work.
- Flexibility in work assignments is essential.
- Willingness to be cross-trained as business needs dictate.
- Willingness to learn all types of equipment used in the distribution center.
Physical Requirements
- Standing, walking, pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, and reaching during shifts.
- Lifting up to 50 lbs. and/or moving up to 100 lbs with assistive devices.
Schedule
Monday - Friday: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
Pay
The pay range for this role is $17.10 - $20.00 hourly, based on skill sets, experience, training, licensure, certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
