Distribution Reliability Engineer

Responsibilities
- Evaluate electrical distribution systems and apply engineering design standards to develop upgrade or replacement designs in compliance with utility requirements.
- Prepare engineering drawings, detailed project estimates, and construction-ready documentation.
- Utilize NESC clearance requirements, utility construction standards, and pole-framing guidelines to update distribution infrastructure.
- Regularly work in client proprietary software to complete all components of the distribution design workflow.
- Cookordination project details and work orders with utility personnel, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency.
- Review and validate engineering drawings to ensure technical accuracy, safety, and reliability.
- Contribute to reliability improvement efforts through system modeling, device coordination, and protective scheme evaluation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; BS EE + 4+ years experience or MS + 2+ years relevant experience.
- Demonstrated experience in distribution design and distribution reliability.
- Proficiency with system analysis tools including CYME Distribution, CYMTCC, and device coordination.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with proven ability to work directly with clients and internal project teams.
- Ability to work remotely while maintaining local availability within Georgia (preferably Atlanta area) for field meetings and on-site coordination.
