Distribution Processor - Des Plaines, IL

About the role

The Shipping & Receiving Associate is responsible for accurately preparing, packaging, and processing outbound shipments and inbound materials to ensure efficient warehouse operations.

Responsibilities

• Process shipments via UPS and FedEx and load products into trailers
• Process pallets systematically through LIDS, scanning products into the system
• Weigh, measure, and label products
• Process boxes systematically through pack size and physically assemble packages
• Label and tape boxes
• Break down inbound pallets and process receipts systematically
• Review quantity discrepancies and update the system as needed
• Wrap pallets utilizing a wrap machine
• Ensure labels left by distribution attendants are assigned to the correct pallet
• Apply corner boards on product when appropriate
• Move product to the dock door when appropriate
• Meet hour-by-hour productivity goals; follow and maintain the hourly board
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, ensuring 5S is followed

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to follow all Safety, Health, and Environmental guidelines, policies, rules, and training
• Basic math and reading comprehension aptitude
• Ability to read and interpret a manifest, packing list, and complex shipping codes
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to work in a team environment

Pay

$19.11 per hour
