About the role
The Distribution Operations Specialist – Associate supports logistics, inventory management, and asset distribution activities within the Cadet Command C4IM support framework. This entry-level role assists with warehouse operations, shipment coordination, material tracking, and receiving/distribution of government-furnished equipment and supplies.
Responsibilities
- Support the receipt, storage, inventory control, and distribution of IT equipment and materials.
- Aid in warehouse operations and logistics activities at Fort Knox and remote locations.
- Ensure proper documentation and handling of inbound and outbound shipments.
- Track equipment movement and update inventory records in accordance with Army procedures.
- Support lifecycle replacement efforts and coordination of IT equipment deployment.
- Conduct periodic inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies.
- Provide support during inspections and compliance reviews.
- Follow all safety and security protocols while handling government property.
Requirements
- Associate Degree (AA) or 2-year technical school diploma and a minimum of 2 years of relevant logistics or warehouse support experience.
- Ability to lift and handle equipment and supplies in a warehouse environment.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills.
- Basic knowledge of inventory systems and logistics software preferred.
- Familiarity with Army logistics and supply chain operations is a plus.
Qualifications
- Verifiable DoD Secret (or higher) security clearance is required.
