What This Role Will Be Doing

Duties to include, (but not limited to):

  • Reads work-orders and performs work as assigned by department management team
  • Fully stocks and locates materials within the warehouse/production facility
  • Responsible for movement of materials to assemblers to keep production lines moving in a timely manner
  • Perform and oversee tasks associated with loading trucks which include forklift operations
  • Act as a mentor to Material Handlers
  • Attach appropriate labels, documents, tags to products and/or packages
  • Maintain and meet daily production goals
  • Perform general labor related tasks within the production facility
  • Notify management of any mechanical or material issues
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area
  • Other duties as assigned

Material Handler Lead - 2nd Shift

Demonstrates Ability to communicate effectively
Ability to analyze and solve problems
Strong math skills
High level of detail and ability to determine adequate quality control
Ability to work as part of a team

Education / Experience

  • High school diploma and 1 year related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Working Demands / Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50-75 pounds at those times when assistance is needed on production floor.
  • Work schedule consists of Mon-Friday, working an anticipated 10-12 hour daily shift.
  • When warranted, after hours availability is required as business demands dictate.

The Material Handler Lead - 2nd Shift prime objective is to read work orders, following oral instructions to ascertain materials to be moved while ensuring efficiency and product quality.
