Responsibilities

• Oversee the warehouse office and staff, ensuring adherence to safety procedures and facility/equipment maintenance.
• Daily communication with workers to meet objectives in a timely manner.
• Use current reports to make management decisions regarding staffing and routes.
• Monitor warehouse productivity (orders shipped, errors, transactions, etc.).
• Oversee incoming materials to ensure proper receipt and storage.
• Ensure daily orders are picked, packaged, loaded, and processed.
• Review and maintain all assigned reports.
• Maintain appropriate staffing levels based on seasonal business needs, working with HR and Distribution Management on approvals and retention.
• Facilitate communication between Transportation, Purchasing, Customer Service, Sales, Credit, and other warehouses to meet customer commitments.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and enforce safety procedures.
• Oversee maintenance of equipment, buildings, and grounds.
• Ensure processes and procedures are followed to guarantee customer satisfaction.
• Respond promptly to emails and phone messages from managers and other departments.
• Conduct monthly and yearly performance reviews for all employees.
• Communicate regularly with the Regional Distribution Manager and VP of Distribution.
• Lead and promote a safety culture aligned with Wausau Supply Co. core values.
• Monitor and ensure operational metrics are achieved.
• Continuously evaluate and improve warehouse accuracy and efficiency.
• Manage multiple demands while maintaining strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrate leadership and teamwork while working independently.
• Foster a safety mindset and problem-solving culture within the workforce.
• Work a flexible schedule and maintain positive morale.

Requirements

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Management, or Finance, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5 to 10+ years of manufacturing, warehouse, or material handling experience.
• 3 to 5+ years of manufacturing or warehouse leadership and supervisory experience.
• Logistics and transportation management experience (preferred but not required).
• Knowledge of Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) and Department of Transportation (DOT) rules (preferred but not required).
• Excellent, data-driven analytical skills.
• Proficiency in ERP systems, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Office 365.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds.
• Ability to stand, bend, and walk for long periods.
