Distribution Logistics Coordinator

Distribution Logistics Coordinator role focused on meeting and exceeding customer transportation needs through excellent service and coordination.

Responsibilities

• Service both external and internal customer needs on a regular basis.
• Coordinate scheduling of orders with carriers (internal, external, and/or brokerage).
• Manage shipment queue and priority lists.
• Provide load and/or order tracking/tracing and complete adjustments as needed.
• Repower loads as carriers fall off; cover expedited orders as they arrive.
• Coordinate daily communication to all parties on potential service issues, problems, and/or delays.
• Compile data for daily reports.
• Compile and transmit carrier information to customers to expedite future orders.
• Coordinate scheduling of appointments with customers.
• Act as a liaison between operations, carriers, and customers in order administration.
• Communicate feedback to management, including signs of dissatisfaction.
• Prepare shipping and tracing information for customers/management as required.
• Positively interact with customers, operations, and carriers.
• Assist with other administrative duties as needed by management.

Requirements

• Experience in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
• Strong time management, organizational, planning, and self-motivation skills.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to handle changing priorities and use good judgment in stressful situations.
• Ability to multi-task and manage priority lists.
• Previous transportation and/or DOT experience helpful.
• Prior customer service experience.
• High School Degree required.
• Ability and availability to work irregular or extended hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Ability to work in environments with variable noise levels, lighting conditions, and temperature variations; must be able to access all areas of the building without limitations.
