Distribution Lead - Picking 3rd Shift $25.92 Hourly

About the role

This role supports the DC leadership team by assisting in maintaining continuous and productive distribution center operations.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and lead teammates in different areas of operation to ensure production and safety.
• Fill in as support where additional help is needed or someone is absent.
• Create and promote a safe working environment.
• Operate and understand all CDC equipment.
• Identify technical issues and communicate them to supervisors or appropriate departments.
• Support teammates in resolving problems.
• Communicate all issues with supervisors or managers.
• Lead by example and act as a positive role model for teammates.
• Fill in for the supervisor when they are not on the floor.
• Facilitate proper communication among teammates, management, and other departments (clerks, traffic, HR, customer service, etc.) via email, phone, or direct contact.
• Be versatile in every department on the floor and capable of explaining operations.
• Engage in continuous on-the-job training to assist supervisors with daily operations and succession planning.
• Exhibit proactive behavior and attitude.
• Be the first to arrive and last to leave, ensuring equipment is set up properly and daily tasks are completed.
• Assist with training and cross-training teammates.
• Follow proper SOPs, GMPs, HACCP, and other plant rules.
• Complete tasks in a timely manner.
• Maintain acceptable attendance.
• Perform duties as assigned by supervisors or managers.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of two (2) years of college preferred.
• 3 to 5 years of experience leading or coaching people, or equivalent education/knowledge.
• Preferred: distribution experience or a minimum of three (3) years in a distribution environment.
