Distribution Engineering Construction Coordinator

About the role

We are seeking a Distribution Engineering Construction Coordinator in Atlanta, GA who is passionate about electric utility design engineering. You'll contribute to our efforts to maintain Leidos' reputation for high-quality work.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to engineering design calculations and the assessment of field data
• Provide engineering support during construction, including post-construction reviews
• Engage with technical designs and Client standards to ensure quality and timeliness of design deliverables
• Coordinate with permit agencies, right-of-way specialists, system owners, field leaders, forestry leaders, and 3rd party owners for joint-owned poles
• Collaborate with engineering and design teams to ensure safe and reliable constructability of client work packages

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree and 8+ years of experience
• Experience with electric utility infrastructure in OH and URD environments
• Experience with construction of electric distribution infrastructure
• Experience with GIS and Pole Loading Analysis
• Experience with National Electric Safety Code (NESC) and client construction standards
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)

Benefits

This role will have a focus on safety initiatives and the selected candidate can expect to help train and mentor other employees in proper safety practices and procedures. Some of your time will be spent in the field, on customer job sites, and some in collaborating with engineering design teams in our Atlanta office.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this role is $92,300.00 - $166,850.00. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
