Distribution Construction Coordinator

Job Summary

Reports to the SPP Distribution Construction Supervisor. Manages overhead and underground utility construction projects.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

Responsibilities include (but not limited to):

• Coordinating contract resources to ensure that the SPP Achieves Safety Excellence, budgetary needs, productivity, schedules, customer satisfaction and Reliability goals.
• Responsible for circuit strategy, attending pre-construction meetings, quality control, and final walkdowns of assigned projects.
• Must work well with and communicate with Engineering, internal and external customers, Stakeholder Engagement, Forestry, Land Acquisition, Claims, etc.
• Will require an alternate work schedule to accomplish the listed responsibilities.
• Communicate well and work closely with our Region Partners to maintain a reliable system during construction of SPP projects.
• Work closely with region leadership to support their storm restoration plans.

Education

High School education or equivalent.

Experience

• Extensive Distribution engineering and/or construction experience required.
• Proficient in computer skills (Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel), Distview, ARMS, CSS, TCMS, and JETS preferred.
• Ability to analyze drawings, blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other project documentation.
• Seven years of Distribution Experience.

Other Requirements

• Work schedule: Monday through Thursday, 4 x 10 workdays. Additional hours may be required for Storm duty, plant outages, etc., including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Available for Storm Duty.
• Valid Driver's License is required.
