About the role
The Distribution Development Manager is responsible for supporting strategic development and distribution initiatives aligned with headquarters sales strategies. They assess, advise, and implement training programs and techniques to drive execution of competitive strategies, work with distribution leaders to ensure consistent execution, and manage projects across distribution channels.
Responsibilities
- Support strategic development and distribution initiatives aligned with HQ sales strategies
- Assess, advise, and implement training programs and techniques to drive execution of competitive strategies
- Work with distribution leaders to ensure consistent execution and identify needs or barriers that headquarters can help address
- Drive the coordination, execution, and implementation of broad projects across distribution channels
- Act as a liaison with HQ and the distribution channels
- Mentor and guide on issues involving business critical strategic initiatives
- Develop and improve capabilities to address performance issues
- Develop initiatives and strategies based on statistical and performance data
- Provide recommendations based on sales performance, growth opportunities, and competitive strategy
- Analyze and track the effectiveness of existing programs
- Compile statistics, translate data, and formulate insights into tangible recommendations
- Present findings and recommendations to management
- Manage, motivate, and coach individuals on the team
- Train, develop, or identify employees' training and resource needs
- Maintain employee personnel records, establish priorities, schedule daily work, monitor the quality and quantity of work performed by the department and the individuals within the department
- Recommend promotions and terminations, etc.
- Assist with developing the department and/or division annual budget
- Ensure that operations are managed within authorized budget limits, while maintaining cost control, labor efficiency, materials efficiency, service quality, and appropriate staffing levels
