Role Expectations
- Design and engineer medium voltage (1kV to 35kV) overhead and underground power distribution systems
- Review and/or prepare engineering-quality drawings suitable for construction, project estimates, and permitting documents
- Perform site visits to inspect, measure, and verify designs
- Conduct pole loading analyses and determine appropriate equipment sizing for residential projects
- Affiliate with field work when needed
What We're Looking For
- Associate Degree in Engineering Technology or Drafting is preferred
- 1+ years of Distribution design experience is required
- Previous Duke Energy design experience is required
- Demonstrated ability or experience with Maximo, BOUD, SEDS, and Pole ForemanKatapult experience is a plus
- Ability to follow prescribed standards and procedures
- Strong knowledge with Microsoft Office products such as Outlook, Word and Excel
- Must have a valid Driver’s License
Pay Range
$60,000-70,000/year
