Distribution Clerk

About the role

The Distribution Clerk works with operations management, leads, and team to ensure accurate processing, inspection, disposition, and packaging to meet service level expectations of internal and external customers. This position is located in Columbus, OH.

Responsibilities

• Run and consult systems databases to identify cartons needed for hub outbound deliveries
• Identify via audit exceptions to designated outbound lanes
• Build, open, and inspect units flagged for further action, as directed via assembly instructions
• Conduct dock searches for cartons as needed, and remove straps and vendor pallets
• Perform daily analysis of hub inventory variances and upkeep of inventory and outbound reports
• Run daily reports for hub records
• Execute basic waving functions as needed
• Locate, receive, and task cartons
• Safely and efficiently operate material handling tools and equipment
• Keep work area safe, organized, and clean according to general warehousing practices and OSHA requirements
• Utilize Williams-Sonoma’s Mission, Vision, and Values to govern daily activities while maintaining required accuracy, productivity, and quality standards
• Other duties as deemed necessary

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• At least 6 months experience with RF scanners
• Excellent attendance and willingness to be part of a team—performing whatever duties are necessary
• Willing and able to be cross-trained and certified to operate equipment: Reach Tracker, Pacers, Swing Reach, Order Picker/TT, Motorized Pallet Jack
• Excellent Warehouse Management System knowledge, including handheld, truck mount, and desktop
• Microsoft Office Proficient: Outlook, Word, and Excel (Basic)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic, ability to work under pressure, and be a fast learner
• Flexible to work overtime as required

Preferred Qualifications

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus

Physical Requirements

• Continuous physical exertion: walking, bending, lifting, standing, climbing
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 65 pounds with or without accommodation
