Maintain Computerized Data

Maintain computerized data for efficient procurement of parts and insure proper inventory levels.

Control Distribution

  • Control distribution of all parts and other items related to the parts room.

Perform Duties

  • Perform all receiving and shipping duties that pertain to the maintenance department.

Physical Requirements

  • Work unsupervised in the parts room.
  • Issue parts and other related items to production and maintenance employees in a timely manner.
  • Communicate in simple English to receive instructions, interact with other employees, contact vendors, and understand repair manuals and work orders.
  • Use and understand the MP2 maintenance software for efficient acquirement of parts and to insure the proper level of inventory items.
  • Create Physical Inventory reports.
  • Print Bar Codes.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
  • Issue Stock and Non-Stock Requisition Forms.
  • Comply with current Quality System requirements.
  • Hazardous waste training shall be provided to the employee within six months of the date the employee filled this position and a review of this training provided every 12 months thereafter.
  • The employee will complete a program of classroom instruction. The employee shall be supervised until training is completed.
  • The training shall consist of a review of proper management of hazardous waste, satellite accumulation containers, how to review and prepare a hazardous waste manifest, and proper labeling requirements.

Physical Environment

  • Occasionally required to work in extreme environmental conditions (hot, cold, humid).
  • Occasionally required to climb ladders, squat, bend, and work in confined space.
  • Must wear personal protective equipment such as gloves, respirator, safety glasses, and steel toed shoes, hearing protection, etc., as outlined in established department PPE policy.

Education, Experience, Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Manufacturing/Industrial experience
  • Some computer background (Excel, Word, etc.)
