This is an onsite role located at the Distribution Center in Cashton, WI. The position is safety sensitive and eligible for a 3% annual incentive bonus based on cooperative and individual performance.

The Distribution Center Operator will operate material handling equipment while assembling orders to customer specifications, load and unload trucks, and enter information into the Warehouse Management System (WMS). The Distribution Center operates 365 days a year, including holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare orders by processing requests, following directives in the WMS, and assembling orders for outgoing shipments.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment by keeping pick lanes, pallet areas, dock floors, and shipping/receiving offices free of debris and clutter.
  • Contribute to team efforts by assisting in daily tasks such as planning, coordinating, managing time, conducting inventory, recording data, and maintaining equipment.
  • Load and unload trucks, receive materials and products, pick, pack, wrap, label, and ship products.
  • Maintain shipping and receiving paperwork to ensure incoming and outgoing products and materials are in good condition.
  • Assist in controlling costs by ensuring products are stored safely, counted, and delivered according to DC standards.
  • Assist in preparing for company audits and follow Good Manufacturing Practices to meet standards and guidelines.
  • Perform daily material handling equipment inspections, document deficiencies, and inform the maintenance team of any issues or concerns.
  • Place damaged and leaking product in the appropriate area.
  • Select samples for Quality Assurance as directed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by a supervisor.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly, occasionally lift up to 100 pounds with assistance, and push/pull objects up to 2,500 pounds using material handling equipment.
  • Must be able to perform physical work in various positions and at different heights, including bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, and standing or walking for extended periods.
  • Ability to tolerate a variety of temperature conditions.
  • Ability to follow written and/or verbal instructions, work effectively, and maintain deadlines.
  • Must be able to multitask, accurately enter data, and be detail-oriented.
  • Able to work holidays, nights, weekends, as assigned or requested.
  • Basic math skills, including arithmetic, and basic computer skills preferred.
  • Strong work ethic with a history of good attendance.
  • Maintain forklift operator certificate and material handling equipment knowledge.
  • Basic knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Capacity for stress in a service-oriented environment.
  • Able to work independently while in a team environment.

Pay

Base hourly wage range: $19.43 – $23.55 per hour. The typical hourly wage for a new hire with little or no experience is $20.00. Shift premiums include:

  • $2.00 per hour between 6 PM and 12 AM.
  • $3.00 per hour between 12 AM and 6 AM.
  • $2.00 per hour on Saturdays and Sundays.

The compensation package may also include incentive opportunities in the form of discretionary bonuses. Final base hourly wage will be determined based on skills, education, and experience, with consideration for internal pay equity.
